Opening and closing
Please use an horizontal opening and closing procedure!
By opening in a horizontal motion you will preserve the shape of the ring.
Brass is a mix of copper and zinc. If you know that you are sensitive to different metals, I would recommend solid silver or gold for your septum.
With time the brass is aging beautifully and getting a darker antique color. Do you wish your brass to keep the Golden shine? All you need to do is to make a tiny bath with water+lemon & soak the septum for 5-10 minutes and then polish it.
